A Tea Party?
The reason that the inhabitants of the United States are not under British rule today is because the American Revolutionary War, which began in 1775. This is a well- known fact by those who have even the slightest knowledge of United States history. What may not be as well- known is the role of the Boston Tea Party in building up to the war and the lasting impacts resulting directly from this occurrence. The Boston Tea Party was not a jolly event in which a few proper fellows got together to enjoy a cup of tea, talk politics, and pass the time as gentlemen should. No, the Boston Tea Party was far more violent and drastic than that, and proper would be the last word to describe the events that transpired during the Boston Tea Party. But history has shown that when people act daringly, they tend to have more effective results than those who act timidly. Although many have written it off as an insignificant event in the world's history, the Boston Tea Party was a turning point in history because it directly addressed the oppressive British government, it had lasting worldwide impacts, and it was a bold act performed by brave freedom-fighters.
