The Boston Tea Party yielded several immediate results. The first of which was the passing of the Coercive Acts to punish the colonists for their several tantrums of revolt. One of the Coercive Acts was the Boston Port Act which shut down Boston Harbor which was an important port for trade for the colonies. Another result was that the other colonies recognized the bravery of the activists in Boston, and they "caught on" and began their own measures of defying Great Britain, which all led up to the American Revolution. The Boston Tea Party was such a significant event in history, and it would be a shame if it was overlooked.
